Substitute Teachers/Support Staff
We are looking for high energy, heart- centered, nature- loving, wild child enthusiasts to join our team as on-call substitutes and support staff throughout the coming year.
Our Ideal candidate is:
Flexible & Adaptable- as we are a 100% outdoor child- led focused program , the ability to go with the flow of children and whatever the day may bring is key
Is not afraid to get dirty and encourages it- let that inner child out!
Highly compassionate & Leads with their heart - we're not only teachers, but we feel like aunties <3- we're focused on whole child & holistic approaches and work closely with our families
appreciates being outside in all weather conditions
Open to empowering kids through (guided) risky play, tool use & problem solving
a curiosity follower
A rewilding enthusiast
enjoys being creative when coming up with lesson plans and activities- we're focused on child- led > traditional teacher led.
Comfortable with or can be trained on conflict resolution and other age- appropriate, fundamental challenges
Desire to be part of grassroots growing movement
Isn't looking for regular hours - support staff will work as needed for either 2 or 4 hour sessions.
Potential interest in growing with our program - support staff will be considered first for regular positions if/when they become available!
*Experience not necessary, we will train you! CPR certification will be compensated.
